A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Franga is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Interventional Nephrology by American Society of Diagnostic and Inteventional Nephrology and Endovascular surgery by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. He is registered in vascular interpretation-ARDMS. Dr. Franga completed his residency in general surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina and Bachelor science degree in biology, summa cum laude, from South Carolina State University. With many years of experience at the Regional Medical Center, Dr. Dion Franga opened this multi-disciplinary practice with patient care in mind.

Important Information About

Our Staff & Your Visit

The Medical Staff

Your Physician/provider at South Carolina Surgical is responsible for directing your care while you are in the facility. Feel free to consult them if you have any questions regarding your medical treatment and care.

The Nursing/Office staff

Your care is provide by a team of professional nurses and certified technicians. The office manager is responsible for coordinating your care. Feel free to contact the nurse manager if you have any questions or concerns.

Prescription Policy

Ask for prescription/refills when physical provider is in the room with you
Allow 72 hours for prescription refills.
Notify physician/provider/staff of any allergies.
Notify physician/ provider. Staff of any medication changes.
Narcotic prescriptions will be limited to a 5 day supply and no refills.

Cell Phone Policy

Patients and visitors may only use cell phones in the main lobby. They may not be used in patient care areas.

Wireless Internet

We have no public internet (Wifi) in the office.

Smoking policy

SCS is a smoke free facility. As a Healthcare institution we recognize the hazards of smoking and enforce a : No Smoking Policy: We do not permit smoking inside the building or near any entrances of the facility.

Financial Services

Your health and well being is our primary concern.

Some providers/services will bill separately for their services. Such services include anesthesia service, labs, diagnostic tests and pathology services.

Satisfaction Surveys

Patients will be encouraged to review our services on line utilizing healthgrades.com RateMDs.com, Vitals.com
Random satisfaction surveys will be administered using an outside company.
Information gathered from these sources will be reviewed and evaluated and adjust services.
